FX Market Report was formed in November 2009. We are a collaboration between seasoned FX Market professionals, with over 45 years of experience in London and The Far East.
Having worked in large US and European Investment Banks, we have detailed knowledge of the full range of foreign exchange products and markets. Between us we have have acted as interbank market makers, strategic position takers, corporate advisers and technical analysts.
The aftershocks of the credit crisis have produced volatile swings in currencies around the world - and large scale moves are being seen on a much more frequent basis than previously was the case.
Against this background we have launched FX Market Report. We intend it to be a valuable and useful analysis of what's going on - and why - in the currency markets. We even try and predict the future!
We incorporate into our reports the major factors that influence the behaviour of exchange rates:
The Fundamentals - news, data and events
The Technicals - the charts, trends, patterns and formations
Market Sentiment - the often overlooked ingredient that describes the mood of the market.
We combine all three into our 3 products. Our Weekly Report is a detailed look at the majors and gold. The Daily Technical Report updates the commentary as events unfold through the week. Finally we have produced a facebook page on which we post reports and comments on events as they happen.
We operate out of Auckland, New Zealand and London, United Kingdom. Gavin, our chief G7 analyst, produces the weekly report and handles most of the facebook commentary. Paul, in Auckland, produces the daily technical reports.
